Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child have to dance in the Eisteddfods?

If you wish for your child not to participate in the eisteddfods that is fine, just let your teacher know as soon as you decide. We don't put any pressure on students to participate or have extra training classes for those who do participate.

What should my child wear to class?

We recommend students wear tights or shorts with a t-shirt or a leotard with a skirt, perferably in black and aqua.

Students hair should also be tied back and the correct foot wear should be worn.

My child just wants to do a ballet class, is this alright?

We rather our students join a jazz class to learn the basics and then join a secondary class such as ballet or tap. Some exceptions may be made, contact us for more information.

Do I have to buy the cosutmes?

At Rhythmic Dance Centre, costumes are hired out to ensure costs are kept low. These costumes remain the property of Rhythmic Dance Centre.

How do I make payments?

Payments can be made weekly, fortnightly or by the term, through cash, cheque or direct deposit.

Do I have to pay an enrollment fee?

We have an annual enrollment fee of $10 which is paid by all students at Rhythmic Dance Centre. This fee is to cover the dance insurance and copyright expenses paid by the school. Different conditions may apply for each studio.

What time and days are classes?

Each studio has different class days and times. Please check out Class Times page for links to timetables for a general idea of classes (subject to change).

Do I have to pay for missed lessons?

Yes, unless you are seriously injured or overseas.
